There have been a few drops here and there

18 Oct

So here’s a blast from the past with a new Nike Vandal Low Premium GS Whitemtllc Silvrvvd Blpbbl, a pair that maximizes the ’70s basketball aesthetic with a super clean three-toned colorway.  Like any skilled backpacker, the Nike Vandal High has been missing most of the times we’ve looked in 2010.  There have been a few drops here and there, but nothing to match the days when Blazers, Dunks and Vandals were at the core of the Nike Sport Culture strategy.  An all-white base finds select orange hits on the strap and sole, with the heel tab adding just a touch of gold.  Check out more shots by clicking the jump below and look for these at select Nike Sportswear retailers like Dr. Jays.

Taking hints from this New York Fashion week, Nike has released the Nike Blazer Mid. Decorated with silver studs, the mid cut sneaker takes a fashion forward approach to the typical Blazer design. Gone is the thickened midsole, for a thin rubber sole that compliments the entire design. Blast of metallic silver draw your eye to the side panel and cover the Nike Swoosh. Both pairs, the black and the white model use leather on the upper and carry matching laces.  The Nike Women Blazer Mid PRM MTR is available now at Nike Harajuku of Tokyo.

The cupsole Blazer is back on deck for 2011. Those of you who remember loving then subsequently missing the shoe will be happy to know that a few colorways are set to release including a Blue/Black and Black/White-Gum. The next colorway they have let us get a look at is this Union Grey/Varsity Red version that has a suede construction and white outsole. Look out for these in May of 2011.

The Nike Blazer High will be releasing in a pretty special colorway this Fall. The shoe is set to drop in this Anthracite/Black-Electric Green colorway that has a majority suede base with leather detailing on the swoosh, heel and midfoot. The tongue is made of black nylon and the rubber outsole just further adds to the tonality. The Electric Green toe cap is definitely the focal point and adds to the overall look of the shoe.
